In partnership with the HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME), the Office of Community Development aids in the distribution of federal funds to expand the supply of quality, affordable housing for low and very-low income families in Columbia. As part of this initiative, the Office of Community Development announced on April 8, 2014 plans to construct six new homes in the Lyon Street Community. In preparation for the April groundbreaking ceremony, bigeyedbird creative worked with the Office of Community Development to develop a visual brand for the Lyon Street community. In addition to providing the residents of Lyon Street with a revitalized community image, the brand and collateral were targeted to attract young professionals and families considering home ownership in the City.
